Where Can We See A Camp?

Our Social Media Outlets have a lot of examples.

What if I don’t know what skill level my player is?

Beginner Level = Never played before or maybe played 1-season of recreational soccer.

Intermediate - Academy Level = Played at least 1-2 full years (4 playing seasons) of organized soccer with a coach.

Advanced - Travel, Competitive Level= Plays on a Competitive/ Travel team with paid coaches and plays in a regional/ state soccer league (not on a team that only plays other teams inside their club).

What special equipment does my player need to participate in a Camp Program?

Just normal soccer gear (to include: soccer shoes, shinguards and long socks that cover the shinguards, along with weather appropriate clothing and sunscreen). EVERY player MUST bring their own soccer ball to work with. ALL of our Programs are Player Centered so, the most important thing a player needs is a soccer ball.

Will Girls and Boys be separated in training?

NO - unless, your daughter has signed up for our Coerver Just forGirls Only Camp

Can we bring snacks and drinks for our player?

Yes - as long as the snacks are ones that help fuel their body for performance (not chips). All of our Camp locations provide containers of Gatorade and water for the players. We will provide cups OR, they can bring drink containers to fill up.

What are the Qualifications of the Coaches?

All of our Coerver Staff have extensive coaching education that we administer on our unique Method. We cover Behavioral Science, Speech and Child Safeguarding, Sport Science, Neuroscience and Sport Performance. All are specialists at improving players in groups. We do NOT employ “any” coach. They are vetted for experience as a player and as human beings. Their training is on-going and never done!

Can Parents Stay and Watch?

Parents are Welcome to watch training sessions from behind a fence area or, at least 50 feet from a training area. No parents are allowed on fields or mingling with their player during training times. This is a health and wellness protocol as well as a safety one for ALL in a Program.

How are players divided?

On the morning of the 1st day, players are divided by age into playing groups for small-sided games with some restrictions. This allows our Staff to monitor players and see if any need to be moved up or moved down based on abilities. Once groups are identified our Staff continues to monitor the players to see if any further movements are necessary to challenge the players appropriately.

Can my player be in a group with his/her friend?

Yes - as long as the pair do not start acting up and disrupting the group. Also, we do not limit players by age meaning, if a player is good enough to be in a higher level group - we move them so they are challenged. IF - the player level between the friends is not the same, we make sure “the individual” is getting what they need in competition and instruction.

Training Times for Coerver Camp Programs are START times?

Players need to be onsite with their ball, shoes ON and bags/ water bottles in the designated player areas (the Staff will let you know where that is). The First 15-Minutes of each day is small-sided games to get the players loose and warmed up. After that, the Entire Camp is brought in as a group to discuss the Day’s topics and any housekeeping issues (trash, etc). RULE - Be early so you can participate! If you are going to be 15-30 minutes LATE, save the trip and stay home. Your player will not know what is going on for the day. NOTE: sometimes there are medical/school appointments for a player that can not be avoided. Please discuss this with your player’s group leader so they are aware of your absence or tardiness.

How do I REGISTER for a Camp Program?

Where do we go to Check-In for Camp?

Depending on the site where the camp is happening, you should see a COERVER Tent or a GATORADE tent area. Your “Camp STARTS”….email will have details on where to Check-In.The Staff Coaches will be there to check players in and answer any additional questions.

Where do we go to Check-Out for Camp?

A parent (or 18+ year Old) guardian MUST come to the Check-in area (from earlier in the day) to Check-Out each player. We do NOT allow players to leave without a parent present. This is for your child’s safety! IF - there is a certain “someone” that is not allowed to pick up your child, you must arrange that by emailing: info@coervermoves.com with:

  1. Player Full Name
  2. Camp Name and Location
  3. Your Full Name
  4. Phone Number
  5. Name of person(s) not allowed to pick up your child

What is the Weather Policy?

All of our Staff monitor local weather using the Weather Bug App and Spark Lightning Detection system. Each municipality is different in their requirements for stopping play in inclement weather. In the event of rain (only) – we will try to play through light rain. If we encounter heavy rain, we will wait it out until it has slowed down to return. In the event of lightning – we have a policy to evacuate training areas and seek shelter for any lightning strikes within 10-miles of our location. We will wait out the strikes until they are10-miles clear of our location.

In the event that severe weather comes on us – we will seek shelter immediately. IF – it looks like the weather delay will last longer than 1-hour, we will Email and Text all parents to pick up their player.

For any training time that is Lost due to weather – we will do our best to add time to remaining days to offset any delays. Weather is NOT controllable by us or any field/park location. We try to be safe – diligent – and fair. *There are no refunds for acts of weather.
