WEATHER POLICY

All of our Staff monitor local weather using the Weather Bug App and Spark Lightning Detection System. Each municipality is different in their requirements for stopping play in inclement weather.

  • In the event of rain (only) – we will try to play through light rain. If we encounter heavy rain, we will wait it out until it has slowed down to return.
  • In the event of lightning – we have a policy to evacuate training areas and seek shelter for any lightning strikes within 10-miles of our location. (Some municipalities have a 15-mile rule). We will wait out the strikes until they are 10-miles clear of our location.
  • In the event that severe weather comes on us – we will seek shelter immediately. IF – it looks like the weather delay will last longer than 2-hours, we will Email and Text all parents to pick up their player.

For any training time that is Lost due to weather – we will do our best to add time to remaining days to offset any delays. Weather is NOT controllable by us or any field/park location. We try to be safe – diligent – and fair. *There are no refunds for acts of weather.
